I was reading a little bit of this blog and thought I would send you a note. I just recently purchased a Squarestream - from up near Lynchburg Va. A couple that Bec and I went to college with have owned an Airstream for years - talked us into getting one - said he would look for us a good used unit - and a couple weeks later said he had located a Squarestream about 30 miles from his home. We looked at it - and presto - are Squarestream owners. It is a 1989 model - 29' - vin # 45ZGYJN26KJ200996 - it is in reasonable shape - it needs headliner work and a new paint job. One side looks great - the other side is sunbaked to the point it can not be rubbed out. My goal is to restore it to somewhat near original condition which will take some time. There is more that I don't know about it than what I do know - so may be looking for help or guidance down the road. Any contact can come to donl@superiorservices.us Til later

Did it stand up to the bonding and sealing (warping, leaks, etc..) compared to the basic Aistream.

I would appreciate any experience feedback.

The article states that 1991 was the last year it was produced, and I have read briefly on the forum about the oddity of the 1992. Would love to hear from other 1992 owners of the 'Squarestream' Land Yachts to get info on our recent purchase.

I would like to correspond with others about upkeep etc. My most pressing question is Can you remove the clearcoat from the painted squarestream with the same product that you can remove it from an aluminum airstream. I am afraid to try it, afraid it will damage the paint. Anybody removed the clearcoat?
